Benro CF tripods?

After some deliberation between a couple of tripods I've decided I'm going to get the Benro CF tripod:

I'm thinking of buying it from the listed Ebay shop but have some slight concerns regarding warranty - anyone else used this ebay seller?

Since posting this thread I've picked up on a couple of reviews that mention the heads supplied with the tripod aren't the best, can anyone suggest a decent alternative that won't affect the compactness of the legs?

Good seller. Bought before and very good delivery and also no customs charge The heads are meant to be decent actually - from what I recall I have the B1 or B2 head and they got real good reviews! No idea if the transforming monopod leg idea is a good one though - seems a bit cheesy... For what its worth I got the CF 168 travel angel and it seems pretty good!

Yes, DC is a good supplier.

The small head is a problem with those folding travel tripods as the space left between the legs is narrow. Benro heads now have a slimmed down base to help, but if you want a bigger head and legs that still fold flush, you need a bigger tripod. If you get the next size up, you should be able to fit a B-1 head in there which is a decent size for most things.

Also check out other heads with slimmed bases like the Markins Q3t which is popular and very good, pricey though. Gitzo also make one with sculpted sides to nestle the legs in.

Thanks for the info, I've made up my mind to go with the C1682TB0, apparently the monopod is improved over the C1681. I'll see how I get on with the B0 head and if it doesn't work out probably have a look at Gitzo/Markins ones you mention
