Hi folks. I need a travel tripod. Has to be compact to fit in suitcase or backpack. Has to be lightweight.
I'm looking at the Benro travel. Seems to get good reviews and £100 is about on budget.

Anybody got any comments on the Benro, or other recommendations?

Thanks

Do you mean this?

Cant find one for £100

I have this one

If you remove the head it fits in a carry on hand luggage case. Has longer legs and doesnt have the telescoping centre column (has standard column) Its okay but not the most rigid of tripods at full height and worse with the centre column extended. You need a 10 second timer and not use a long heavy lens
Build wise its solid and the travel one above looks to be of the same construction.

I've got a "Benro FSL09C" ands its "Excellent", it can also be used as a Monopod by unscrewing one of the legs.

George.

442mm with the head unscrewed. 517mm with it attached. Took my on the BA permited size hand lugagge case to Barcelona with out issue. Cant recall if I took the head off or not as i split my gear and our clothes between mine and my wifes case so that if one had to go in the hold it wasnt the one with the camera and lens in.

I've got the Black version of this tripod https://www.3leggedthing.com/corey
Lives in the boot of our car just in case I see something that requires a tripod on our travels.
Seems decent enough, not exactly tested it extensively though, certainly small and relatively light

I've got a Benro Travel Angel - the original version - which I have owned for about 8 years. It packs up really small and one of the legs doubles as a monopod, although it's a bit short.
