Okay I have a 5D MKiii and now need a second body, so what should I get, I mainly shoot.

Dog Agility
Dog Potraits

And have started Weddings

So just wondered what you all think and do.

I'd suggest a 60D - almost as good as the 7D but with less noise (from my experience), plus with the flip out screen you can get some interesting low shots, not to mention magic lantern to increase the bells and whistles.

For dog agility I would definitely go for the 7D - the af system is excellent for fast moving dogs.

I'd probably go for a 1D mkIII, failing that a 7D over the 60D.

I recently swapped a 60D for a 7D cause I wanted the better AF system for wildlife (BIF mainly) and aviation but for your needs a 60D will serve you well. My experience is very similar to John above where I find the 7D to be more 'noisy' from ISO 800 upwards while I used the 60D up to ISO 1600 + with no problems.

From your info above it says you have a 5D2, which is probably the best backup you could get, but if you've sold the 5D2 to get the 5D3 (like I did last year) then a 60D would be good.

I fully agree with Stuart - if you don't need the reach of crop, keep the 5DII (if you still have it), I never owned one personally but I understand its the same AF as the 5D (which I did own) and the center AF point is fine.

I won't go into a great long story but I had a 7D (got bugged by the noise), moved to the 60D which I preferred, then to a 1D3 (great camera by the way, just a little low on image size for cropping), then finally to the 5DIII

So in short I've tried a few :)

Almost anything with "1" in the name. 7D might also do.

It seems that good AF is very important for your work.
