Hi all, I need a new flash gun. Been looking at the cheap sub £100 models on eBay and noticed some metz and yunguno ones that look ok. I don't want manual flash though it needs to be TTL I think the term is?

What would you guys recommend for me?

Thanks

I've not used it myself but the Yongnuo 565 looks very good value for money.

I used to have the Jessop's 360AFD which is a good starter flash. Only downside is it's a bit slow to recharge. Unless you really need the fast recharge time then maybe this could be the best bet since you can take it back to Jessops if anything goes wrong.

My dad has got two of the Jessops but is not that impressed with them really. I like the look of that Yongnuo

Is that the cheapest yong that supports TTL?

What batteries were you using? With fully charged Eneloops I find recharging from a full power burst to be reasonably quick.

yongnuo yn465 £50 if you want to spend a little more the yn565

I have a Jessops 360AFD and it's not compatible with my 50D so I doubt it's compatible with your 7D.
Having just bought a used Canon 430 EXII on here for £130 I'd suggest keep an eye on the classifieds section, there's at least one for sale in there at the moment.
