Best Big Bag with easy access!

I'm looking for a new bag that I can get into easily.
When I'm shooting landscapes I carry all my gear in a backpack style bag and this is fine when climbing hills etc.
When I'm shooting outdoor portraits I find the backpack a nightmare,as i have to take it off my back to get anything out.
I have been looking at a shoulder type bag,but I need a big one,2 DSLR's with 70-200 f2.8 attached and 24-70 f2.8 attached,plus room for at least 2 more lenses and flash guns etc!
I've trawled the internet but I'm finding trying to choose one a nightmare, so wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of one that would suit my needs.

I use both a lowepro magnum 400 (large) + 650 (massive) AW, both would suit your needs and are excellent bags. Ignore what they quote for the number of lenses you can fit in them, you can comfortably accommodate 4-5 in both, the difference with the 650 is that there is also lots of extra room for several speed lights etc.

I have found the velcro walls have pulled/ripped off the soft lining on the inside. Fairly naturally, since I hardly ever move it around.
I think I'm going to have to replace it for LONG walks - since it can be a struggle up and down hills - but I do go heavy.

I thought I had lost a filter once, because it was in one of it's many pockets.

Otherwise I quite like it! (y)
 
I've had a couple of Tamrac bags http://www.tamrac.co.uk/pages/product7.htm and they are excellent. They are superbly well made and can hold a lot of gear and it's easy to access the gear if you just use the quick release tabs. The Piggy Back pocket makes these bags easy to move with a trolley and if you get a trolley with decent sized wheels (6" or more) you can traverse quite rough ground without a problem and only have to pick up the weight for major obstacles.

Thinking about it I don't really need the second body with the lens permanently on,so long as when I am using one body the other is easily accesible from the bag with the lens attached that would be fine!
So I can maybe go for a slightly smaller bag,so long as it can hold one body with lens on and another body without lens that would be big enough!:thinking:

Give it up, man! You'll probably end up with some 7 to 10 bags like the rest of us...

Another vote for the Think Tank Retrospective range. Very well made, quality bags and access is excellent, well designed and no wasted space.
 
You will be hard pushed to beat the Lowepro Magnum 250AW, 400AW or the 650AW. I use the 250AW & 400AW. The 400 is too big and heavy to carry around, so I use it more for storage. The 650 is even bigger.
 
I asked a similar question t'other week. Plumped for a Lowepro Flipside 400 AW in the end.
