Best Black & White Enhancing software.

Anybody use any B & W enhancing software?

Not wanting freebies. Not bothered about cost.

I want software to boost Black and white images. I'm too busy to spend hours playing on computer. So anything with preset filters etc would also be handy.

What do you guys use and like?

I use Silver Efex Pro and Topaz B&W, together they provide a good selection of presets but with the option of tweaking.

Any good tips for using SFX?

Lightroom and a good working knowledge of colour theory and how colours translate into tones... then do it yourself instead of relying on plug ins... it's actually faster when you know what you're doing and making adjustments yourself as even with SFX you have to sit there clicking through a massive list of presets until you find one that fits the bill.

Unless you mean black and white effects such as detail extraction and micro contrast adjustments.. then probably SilverFX... but if you just mean making a black and white image with a good tonal range... Lightroom.

In the darkroom with Multigrade no probs. Need presets for staff, time is money gents.

Even if you set it up and save the settings......
