Best blank DVD for recording?

On occasion, I record a DVD photo slideshow for members of the family, less often a film.

I always use the same software, but occasionally, the slideshow (or film) 'sticks' into the sequence, on various family members DVD player.

I think it has probably more to do with the quality of the blank DVD, the flea-bay ones that are a 1,000 for a fiver are totally crap.

I did manage consistency with a maxell gold brand (DVD+R, 16 speed) a couple of years ago, so bought a similar maxell brand just recently, but some of them seem to stick.

Anyone any recommendations for a brand that provides a consistently good (i.e. non-sticking) recording
 
Les how are you I have been using Datawrite Titanium 16x DVD+R for a while now , creating slide shows with i DVD with no problems at all a couple of places to get them are SVP & More for your monkey hope this helps
 
Taiyo Yuden dvds are simply the best money can buy, you really have to try them and see for yourself, and write at a slow speed something like 4x to ensure a strong `burn` Taiyo Yuden costs about £30 for 100.

I use them for really important data and use others for films etc etc, never had a problem with them.

Never use anything else, mainly for burning movies on, I get the odd duff disk, about 1 in every 500 but no real issues with them.

Used for about the last 4 years with no issues.
