Help!!! Got 600 photos to edit, my pc is struggling! I have lightroom 3 and I need a good book about it, which is best?
Also I'm trying to lighten a shadow on a face in lightroom with the brush but the brush stroke keeps coming out red?? Why?? I'm meant to have these pics ready yesterday and I'm stuck, helppppp

You need a book! I like Scott Kelby's, got a couple of his, and the other popular one is by Martin Evening. I'm sure they're both good, about £18 on Amazon.

Lots of choice and reviews on there.
 
You have probably got the adjustment mask on, press the letter O on the keyboard this should hide the mask or untick the "Show selected mask overlay"

I was stuck looking for books as well, but youtube came to the rescue. Try a basic search and you'll find a few good videos with tips and advice!

I have Scott Kelbys Book and I find it very useful. Some of the sections are quite basic, but it covers everything. I often just use it for reference rather than starting at the front and working through with a drawing.

Another vote for Lynda.com. The fastest and easiest way to learn that I have tried.
