Best browser for Mac?

I went from FF to Safari a while ago and made it a permanent move, but without having used Opera, Camino or the Chrome test build I'm wondering if there's better browsers out there than Safari? Chrome on my work PC is like absolute lightning so I may give it a go on the Mac this week, but I've heard good things about Camino and Opera as well.

Anyone got any hands on knowledge of these browsers?

I've tried them all and then some. I now use Safari on both OS-X and XP (under Parallels).

I wouldn't wish FF on my worst enemy.

I am using Safari, was a FF man for a while but looks like Safair have caught up with a lot of features.

FF has some advantages, it depends on what you want. It does have a spell checker which I'm not sure Safari has.

I thought the OS X spellchecker was system wide?

I have both Safari and FF installed, and use Safari for all my main surfing, I only use FF when I need to be logged into 2 Google accounts at the same time.

Spell checking on 10.5 and 10.6 is definitely system wide....

Try deliberately mis-spelling a word in the quick reply box down at the bottom of this page - you should see it underlined in red, right click or ctrl-click that word for more options.

Safari 4 all the way for me, with a smattering of FF, Chrome and Opera thrown in.

On another note, what about email?

Apple Mail, Thunderbird or Eudora? I could really do with a read report, but Apple Mail doesn't offer this function.

I use firefox on PC and Mac. From what I understand, Safari doesnt have an ad block? whilst firefox has a free add-on that blocks all adverts throughout the net. So FF will always win because of that.

I use Apple mail, but then I don't use the read report, I'm sure there are options to add it...

I use Firefox and i love it. I like the add-ons like Fire FTP which lets me upload files straight from the browser. It has never let me down (touch wood!) and it looks like safari so it looks like it belongs on my iMac.

Safari.

firefox has turned into a PITA recently. Keeps crashing, etc etc.

Opera is worth a try!

safari crashes too often for me.

FF is crap, and always has been since day one. i've always hated FF and the ego mentality that comes with using it (i dont get viruses... that kinda thing) on both mac and pc platforms. i'd use IE7 and IE8 over FF any day of the week.

i use Chrome on my pc and Camino on my Mac.
