I've been looking at this one is it good I'm looking in the $300 mark

With a fish eye lens you get a lot of distortion/bending of the image as it get further from the centre.

A wide lens just gives you a wide view.

Try Googling something like "example fish eye photo" and "wide angle photo."

Wide angle, but not necessarily that wide, many people can shoot landcsapes with anuthing up to 200mm

Best value wide angle is probably Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 version... one of the cheapest UWA lenses but very good performer

What's the difference?

Big difference. A fisheye will give you the look of a rounded pic. Wide angle is used in landscape to gather more of the scene. If you are using a canon crop the best wide angle is going to be the canon 10-22. It's a bit more expensive but it's sharper through the edges compared to the rest aftermarket lenses.
