Best budget tripod.

I'm thinking of getting a budget tripod so I can attempt some night shooting. What are the recommendations for a ~£50 or less tripod?

I've been looking at Hama units so far due to the price but some reviews aren't great.

Any suggestions that I can look in to would be fantastic.

I bought a cheap 50" tripod from eBay for about £8 - does the job.

I had a Hama Star 61 and it was around £10, if you're wanting it for the odd long exposure then I'm sure it will be good enough. I rarely use tripods when photographing but it always did the job I needed it to.

I've been using my mates velbon tripod which seems pretty decent and even though it's light seems pretty stable.

Slightly more expensive than what you want to pay but much better than Hama etc.

I bought one of these - Hama Traveller Pro Compact - to fit into my case when flying. Seems good value for money and quite sturdy.

I've had both and there's very little to choose and the Redsnapper has a special offer at the moment so on £8.95 more than you wanted to spend.
