Best Canon lens for a supercar day?

I'm thinking of going to this on Saturday....

... and I was thinking of hiring a decent lens for my 50d if it's not too late. Having never been to a supercar day before I assume that I'm not sure how close to the cars you can get and what focal range is best?

You can get close to the cars, so go for wider rather than longer focal lengths. As soon as you stand back, the crowd will fill your space.
