Best CF card for 1DX

Just wondering what cards you all use in the 1DX

I don't use a 1DX, but I use Sandisk Xtreme 60MB/sec CF cards in my D800.. which has to shift 50MB RAWs around, and it does OK. The 90MB/sec cards have never been necessary for me, but I rarely shoot images in rapid succession. If you're regularly filling the buffer when shooting RAW then the fastest cards you can should be what you're looking for .

There are some useful test figures here... he's not updated the camera database for a while though... so no 1DX. Still a useful like for like comparison of CF cards.

BTW... that a SN95 Mustang in your avatar pic?

10yrs using sandisk extreme cards.. currently on 16gb / 60mb/s for sport..

One thing to remeber ..if your writing to both slots (i always do for backup now) then it will onyl write at the slowest speed.. so if you ahve a 30mbs in second slot then it will write at that speed in forst slot...

I use Lexar 800x in mine and find them fast enough for sports work.

I use 2 x sandisk 32 g 90mb/s and have never had any problems takes ages for the buffer to cut in even whilst the finger remains on the shutter button whilst shooting I raw

Is that how fast the camera actually writes data, or is it the number printed on the card?

Its how fast it writes, not so sure theres actually anything on the card other than 1000x

Lexar 1000x when had mine too, now use same in the 5diii.
