Best CF card without breaking the bank

What would be the best compact flash card for my 7D without breaking the bank. I would like a fast 32Gb card but these range from around £25-£130 or more. I dont want to spend over £100 but again if the cards at £25 are rubbish then that obviously also wouldn't be suitable.
What cards do you use, (preferably 600X ones), any recommendations?

Having had a budget card fail (as Nod's law states, on an unrepeatable shoot!), I now only use SanDisks. I know any card can develop a problem but SanDisk seem to be less prone to issues (bar forgery) than others.
 
I got some Duracell 16Gb 600x CF cards from 7dayshop.com and they have been great in both my 5D3 and 7D. No problems with any of them or the Duracell SDHC cards I've got either. They are both out of stock at 7dayshop at6 the moment, but they have quite a few other cards at good prices too. Worth having a look.
 
I am use the Duracell ones in my 7d and have had no issues
 
Hi there - I've used both. I would be wary of having one big card - that's a lot of images lost if the card does go bung.
 
Lexar, Delkin, Trancsend, Sandisk, all have top speed cards and all come with lifetime warranties. IMHO it's just a matter of if you think paying extra for a companies advertising budget is worth the extra cost of the card.

The card themselves are all equally reliable .

Must say the Lexar one in the amazon link above looks very good value. I always believed Lexar was the premium brand, but I do have cards from all those I mentioned at the start, and its either the Trancsend or Delkin that goes in my camera first.

The only sandisk card I have is in my phone, it doesn't work well when connected to a PC (via the phone, a card reader or SD adapter) and is a pain in the bottom.

All my cameras cards have been Transcend - first SD and now CF cards, never had a problem and keep up with the 7D just fine. To be honest I don't think I'd buy anything else now.
 
Quite a lot of fake/re-branded cards around, so especially with the price of Sandisk CF's, it's worth buying from a kosher supplier imho.
 
Try Transcend cards they are very very good... I have a whole bunch of different CF and SD cards and the Trandscends are easily the best value CF cards around IMHO

and dont believe all this Baloney about Sandisk lifetime warranty I have got two Sandisks sat here that they wont repair or exchange.. and both of them cost a LOT of money - so not inpressed with all this Lifetime warranty garbage
 
Lexar premium 16gig ones have been ok in my D7100, £10 a pop. Perfect for my weekend warrior antics.
 
I only use a 400x in a 50D but as far as brands go, I've always used Kingston and now Transcend. Never had a problem with them. I've heard of failures from many brands including the 'big' names - I've also heard that card readers play an understated role in card failures.

I don't know the figures (or the maths to work them out) but how necessary is the speed to you - how many frames do you expect to capture in a burst?

Waste of money. The 60MB/s cards are more than fast enough and not much more than half the price of the Pros.
 
I haven't had any problems with my sandisk cards, but panasonic, verbatim, sony and transcend have all been OK for me as well. I have had one lexar fail (several years ago) and know of a friend with a couple of Kingston cards that failed.
 
Another vote for Transcend.

All my 32GB CF cards are Transcend 400x, I have been using them since 1GB was a decent size of card back in 2004/5 ;-), and still use 16GB and occasionally 8GB ones. Probably shot over 500,000 frames on them over the years without a failure.

Have had both (legitimate) Sandisk and Lexar CF cards fail on me.

Twinned up with either Sony XQD cards, or Sandisk/Transcend SD cards - I'm very happy to use larger cards. More likely to lose a card after/during changeover than develop a fault.
 
I've been using Kinsgton Ultimate 266x 16GB in my 7D without any problems - can sustain several seconds at 8fps - not tried any longer than that. Can get them for about £13.99.
 
I also have an 8GB Transcend 8GB 300x UDMA, but I definitely didn't pay the silly money they seem to be going for at the moment - paid 27 quid on Amazon last year.
 
For a 7D there's little point in going faster than 60MB/s. I use Sandisk and Transcend 32GB cards in mine. Get whichever's cheapest at a reputable supplier.
