Best CMS? - calling WordPress esigners?

Hi!

Ok so currently I have my website up at www.danieljamesphotography.net which runs on Drupal. My blog runs on Wordpress, online shop on Magento and portfolio on ZenPhoto. This seems too separated for my liking and in an ideal world i'd tie together at least the portfolio and blog into the main Drupal site.

However there's no plugins available for Drupal to tie these in currently so i'm basically seeing if there's another solution please? I'm currently thinking perhaps WordPress may be the best as a portfolio wouldn't be tough to change to (multiple gallery plugins) and it does blogging brilliantly BUT I need the site to look as close to it does at the moment as possible.

Any ideas on how difficult building a theme for wordpress is please? and would you advise it being the best way to go?

We use joomla and WordPress

Joomla seems to be able to do more and WordPress seems to be more about looks than function, but they can both look good.

There isnt anything wordpress cant do. Im sure you could get a developer to do you a theme close to what you want. However its also worth checking out sites like woo themes or theme forest to see if anything there takes your fancy.
 
Personally I use Joomla predominately with Wordpress for sites where the emphasis is on the blog aspect. You can blog with Joomla, but a separate Wordpress install is far more user friendly.

Also with Joomla you can have a nice gallery system, connected up to an ecommerce system to make htings more user friendly from an admin perspective.
 
You could develop the Drupal site and then everything would be under one CMS. Drupal has modules, not plugins and you can do everything you mentioned with various modules.

Having said that you need to know how to develop a drupal site. It is a steeper learning curve than joomla or wordpress.
