Best compact/Fixed lens for concert photography.

As above really, quite a few venues don't allow DSLR (O2 etc) but are happy enough with compacts or (non interchangeable lens) cameras.

Any suggestions? Fuji x100s/t looks good, perhaps fit the TC to make a longer lens?

Any other suggestions, perhaps compacts? Ideally something with a half decent zoom range if possible, decent ISO and fairly wide aperture. I would usually use spot metering, shoot RAW etc.

How about the Sony RX100 III?
It has a good zoom range. 24-70mm eqiv.
F1.8 - 2.8 Zeiss lens.
EVF and flippy screen.
Movie recording if required.

.....or the Fuji X30? Better zoom range than the Sony (28-112mm) although a smaller sensor and slightly slower lens (although F2.0-2.8 ain't bad). Also has EVF and and a flip out screen. Quite a but cheaper than the Sony.

Here's another vote for the "Fuji X-30", excellent little camera.

Just FYI, I've been in the O2 several times with my Olympus e-m5 and my (µ4/3 sized) 100mm/2.8 lens with me (not attached at security) - they never batted an eyelid, even got a "nice camera" off one gate guy.

rx100 looks a good shout. So does the new canon gx7

Get permission from the band and/or promoter or get a media pass beforehand and take your DSLR along!

Cheaper than buying a new camera.
