Best CSC for Video and Photo?

Hi all,

Following on from my other posts, I am looking at jumping into the Compact System Camera market (ie interchangeable lens cameras) and ditching my Canon DSLR kit.

Can any of the CSC cameras also replace my camcorder i.e. I invest in one device that produces great photos and great videos ?

I suppose it depends on the results you want. I'm not into vid at all but from what I've read on line a hacked Panasonic GH2 is the camera to beat and people shoot movies with them, apparently... As I said, this isn't my thing.

Maybe you could Google your way to somewhere with vid information? Maybe there's a dedicated vid forum out there somewhere?

OK, been doing a bit of reading on various sites and it appears that Canon are due to announce details of their mirrorless camera next week. It will also be backwardly compatible with existing Canon lenses.

This could be the answer I am looking for. It doesn't sound like it will be as small as a GF3 or such like particularly with a rumoured APS-C size sensor but I am willing to sacrifice a little in size, say up to GH2 size, if I can retain my existing lenses and flash.
