anyone know where the best deal can be had, i have been looking around a lot online but thought someone might have an even better suggestion.
 
Best deal would be to get a good used lens, the difference in price between new and good used is fairly substantial ... I think there are a couple in classifieds here.

The Beast's a great lens, but at around £650-700 it's not a cheap option.
