I've been working on a massive resource list of the best photography related websites on the internet, including Lightroom and Photoshop blogs, training, tutorials, YouTube channels etc. I would appreciate your help to make it as comprehensive as possible. Here's what I have so far: http://www.digitalphotos101.com/blog/photography-websites/ Did I miss any of your favorites? Please leave your comment on the blog, as I will be updating the post several times a day. Thanks!

Valerie

Thanks for this, I was contemplating asking where is best to get information, tutorials etc for lightroom as only recently got a copy and need to learn how to use it properly and sort my photos out.

Will download the quickstart guide and definatly take a look over the other resources.

I have started to use lightroom but probably dont use it anywhere near as much as what I can. Looking forward to learning more about using the program now.

Hi Valerie,

Have you included Tony & Chelsea Northrup's Lightroom book? I'm not a Lightroom user but all their work is very good.

Now that Apple are phasing out Aperture, what about alternative RAW editors such as Capture One Pro? Link: http://www.phaseone.com/en/Imaging-Software/Capture-One.aspx

Another thank you all, just what I was looking for (y)(y)

Robin, thanks.Yes I do have Tony & Chelsea's books listed (Lightroom and Photography) and also their YouTube channel. Thanks for the tip on Capture One Pro. I'll check it out.

Thanks for the tip on Capture One Pro. I'll check it out.

....Users are reporting that the RAW Converter in Capture One Pro 8 is noticeably better than in Lightroom.

It's beginning to look as if Capture One is going to be the serious rival to Lightroom that Aperture didn't become (Apple's fault because it did have the potential).

There are a lot of very dissatisfied Aperture users out there, including myself, because Apple has baled out and their replacement App is merely an improved iPhoto aimed at phone camera users and not DSLR shooters in RAW.

Bookmarked, thanks for taking the time to compile and share.

Thanks so much everyone for your great suggestions to my photographers resource list. For the last couple weeks I've been working my "behind" off collecting, sorting and organizing newly-suggested resources. Now I have more than 300 links (and very blurry eyes)! So many resources, in fact, that I've broken them down into separate pages: the original best sites for photographer's resource page, a new one dedicated to Photoshop books, one for Lightroom books and another for general photography books. I've also got a huge list of all kinds of Lightroom links including free and paid presets, blogs, free tutorials and paid training, YouTube channels, plugins, etc.

If I missed anything that you think is worthy, please suggest it. You can leave a comment here or right on my blog page and I'll get it added.

Thanks again,

That link was posted over 3.5 years ago. Chances are the webmaster's re-jigged the site in that time.
