Best Perspex/acrylic width for floor?

How thick should I get some perspex for the floor. Needs to be thick enough not to crack. 4mm?

Depends on what floor you're putting it onto - hard, smooth and flat less of a problem than carpet - more likely to break any perspex shifting it round the studio than actually in use and for that reason the next stuff I get will be a bit thicker. Think its around 4-5mm the one I had.

perspex will scratch really fast.

Depends on what your trying to do.

Why do you think you need acrylic or what are your reasons for wanting it.

There is plenty more plastics out there.
