Best place for CF cards?

[mrbez]

Hi Guys,

I am off to Paris next month, and I only have one 4GB CF card for my camera.

I doubt that this will be nowhere near enough storage for me, I am going to be there for 3 days.

Where is the best place to get some CF cards at a reasonable price?

Thanks.

I havn't bought any CF cards in a long time as I have about 50GB worth of them now

But I know that www.play.com used to have an offer on for £27.99 for an 8GB Extreme Card, might be worth a quick check on there to see if the prices are the same/ similar

if you want to borrow some i have 4 , i cant use them at the mo as my d300s has some bent pins.
i wont miss 2 anyway

Cheers steve

7 day shop had sandisk ultra 8gb for £20 and 4gb for £12 last time i checked. same speed as the extreme.

Amazon - Sandisk Ultra - now have really decent write speeds and as cheap as chips.

Shop around as some places are better for some brands than others, decide which brand and size you are after.
Here is a link for Sandisk best prices http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/cat2.html

Excellent transfer speeds for high speed shooting and bargain price! I got one myself the other week.

I got some 4gb ones for £4.99 once! Just check on www.hotukdeals.co.uk - via the search for the best deals at the moment.

I'd recomend getting one say 4gb really fast card, then more 4gb normal ones. I personally like to space my work over a few cards rather than one massive one, incase of loss/data crash etc.

Also sometimes I need a fast one but most of the time slower ones are fine so I save the ££ and do as above etc.
