Looking to buy a 7D (body only) and obviously wanting to spend bottom dollar.

Found the following and wondered if anyone has any experience (good or bad) of either supplier?

Procamerashop in Carlisle offering it for £858

Simplyelectronics have it on their site for £831
 
Thanks Chris - have you dealt with them and does it have a UK warranty?
 
i'm currently awaiting a canon 60D from them.

But i don't think it's an official canon warranty.
 
Thanks Chris - I'm buying it for my lad who second shoots for me and I'll want to add it to my Canon Professional Services kit list so would obviously prefer a Canon UK warranty. Think I'll give them a ring tomorrow.
 
Hi Jim, you shouldn't have a problem with adding it to your CPS list, I've got a lens and a body registered with CPS that were bought from Panamoz. They do offer a 5% discount for payment by bank transfer which would make it £775.20 including p&p. I've had 2 bodies and 3 lenses from them since january and they give great service and fast delivery, usually 3 to 4 working days, and it's traceable delivery by UPS.

Hdew cameras are another good place to buy from, they have the 7D and £859 http://www.hdewcameras.co.uk/canon-7d-digital-slr-camera-body-494-p.asp at the moment, but that's with a 3 year warranty, and they can also be registered at CPS. The 3 year warranty is with Canon for the first year, then with the shop for the next two, but they use Canon approved service centres. I've bought a 5D2 and 24-105 f4 kit and a 5D3 body from Hdew and I can highly recommend them to.

I usually check Panamoz first and Hdew second for all my needs and I've never been disappointed by either of them. Good luck with getting your 7D.

There is also some on ProCamerashop, which appear to be good - I think they are similar to Panamaz and offer a discount for bank transfer, if you wish to go down that route.

HDEW get a very good following as does Ian (Kerso) on here - not sure what their prices are like at the moment...
 
Bought mine last week from hdewcameras , Wasn't the cheapest but having read reviews about service an warranty ect i thought they were a good bet , They didn'y let me down great coms from ordering to delivery which was quick , ordered late Tuesday night arrived Thursday morning........
 
Ordered from HDEW Cameras on Monday morning and was shooting with it Wednesday Lunchtime. So p asked I've now reseed a 5D MkIII!
