Best place to test a sony lens

Looking at a new lens and would like to try one first, looked at hire sites and no one seems to cover the sony kit.

Am i best buying the one i think i want and trying it, is there any option for returns on lenses with a time period?

what lens are you thinking of?
the problem with buying, using, then returning, is that some retailers can charge a re-stocking fee as the lens can no longer be sold as new when used .. check with retailer first.
or, take your camera to the shop and try one as much as you can there
 
In the UK the only Lens rental for Sony I know of is

They haven't been going that long (less than a year, I think), and I've not used them, but they might offer what you want.

It is also worth asking here for peoples thoughts on a particular lens, or checking on Dyxum for reviews if you are unsure.

what is a anal phalens and why would you want to hire one
