I've had a quick look on the app store for an app that would let me access my MacBook screen on my iPhone. There's quite an array, does anyone know which would be the best?

Ideally would want the choice to use my iPhone over wifi and mobile network, any location (so not just in the same house/on the same wifi network, as that'd be a bit useless!).presumably the Mac would have to be connected to the Internet all the time too.

Many thanks for any advice! :)

+1 on Logmein.

I use it from my iPhone to iMac. It's straightforward to set up and does not need any additional port forwarding settings on the router that some other methods do.

Teamviewer is way better than logmein. No services running in the background and no need to register via a website. Very simple to connect.

I tried out Teamviewer today just to see. It certainly does what it's designed to do.

It scores a point for not having a service running in the background, but then it loses it straight away as you'll either have to remember to start the application before you leave home or keep it running all the time anyway. I also found that it I wanted to control it via the web from another PC without installing the application (which I can't do at work) I had to register on their website.

Couldn't seem to find a way to assign names for each computer instead of a randomly assigned number (but then I might just have missed that) and the popup screens reminding you that it's a free service and inviting you to buy an extremely expensive licence are simply annoying.

Teamviewer certainly has it's place if you want a zero cost option of controlling your computer when you're out of the house then it's worth a go but I'm sorry to say that after one day I'm going back to logmein.

Thanks for the replies. I tried team viewer but had no luck setting it up, so will be asking the ol' Apple store tomorrow! :P
