Best value cokin style soft and hard grad ND filters

Hi all,

Not wanting to spend a fortune given my novice status in the world of photography, however I am looking for good quality soft and hard grad cokin style ND filters.
If anyone has any recommendations I would really appreciate it.

I found the Cokin NDs gave a slight colour cast.

Not wanting to fork out the mortgage required for Lee, I bought HiTech filters. They do hard & soft ND grads, left to cast and are great value (also, made in Britain, I believe).

Teamwork Digital are a very helpful supplier.

Whilst I appreciate your suggestion, this works out to £340+!
A little bit out of my price range currently.
Do Lee leave colour casts?
 
You don't mention sizes. The Lee Seven5 system is cheaper - a set of three hard grads plus a filter holder comes to around £220 plus an adapter ring. Depends what lenses you want to put them on.

Largest lens size is a 77mm 17-40mm canon wide angle.
 
I used my HiTech 100mm set on my 17-40 (on my 5D) with no vignetting. I checked - they are still made in the UK, actually just up the road from me in Aberdare.
 
hitech are pretty darn good, lee is probably the best, and kood is good value average area, the cheap nd grads off ebay arent that great, but if you get the holder and the adapter rings (some do a full set from 49mm to 82mm for p size) and a ok case, that can be decent value

a brief inspection of cheap coloured grads (green, pink etc) i got off ebay seems to show they arent too bad, but really need to put them on my sigma dp to check

In that case forget the Lee Seven5 system. I also have that lens and use the Lee 100 system. Yes they are expensive, but they are good.
