Best value photo printer?

I'll be honest, I don't get nearly as many of my shots printed as I should, and that's because I use a local printer and getting into town is just a hassle (i avoid it at all costs).

So, just wondering if any of you guys have a recommendation for a photo printer that's cost effective to run, and gives me great colour reproduction?

Do most of you do your own printing or do you use a local/online printer?

Budget approx £100 or so.

I can't recommend a printer as such as I only use mine for large A3 exhibition and competition prints where I want complete control and my choice of specialist paper. I also find it expensive to run - inks, papers, etc for general usage.

Why not try sending your prints to an online processor like DS Colour Labs or Photobox? I use them both, and they're both quick, decent quality and in my experience more cost effective than printing stuff myself for most applications.

DSCL for me too..... Why have the cost and hassle of a decent printer when DSCL does everything and only charges £4 (I think) postage....

The canon pizza range. I have the 4700 but there's newer models. The printer cost me £80 the ink I get from premier ink and photographic fa about £40 for a full set. Also get the oyster permajet paper from there.

The prints out of are amazing for what you pay. It's really worth a good look.
