Best way to exchange for new camera?

I've had enough of my D7000 the af system keeps getting faults!

This is now the 3rd time after being fixed twice.

How wouod I go about pushing for a new one or refund? Its only 11 months old.

I want to avoid jessops by all costs - they had a 4 week turnaround last time.

I would imagine if you want a refund or exchange you will have to go to where you bought it. You will have a record of all the times its been returned. You better hurry up after the 12mths they won't want to know.

have a look at the sale of goods act - something that has gone wrong this many times should be due a refund i would have thought

Yeah i know thats why i said hurry up!:)

Well they will have record of the repairs, just say it unacceptable the faults recurring and you have already spent over a month of the last 11 without a camera.

Lol if they hand me it I won't complain but I just want to know my camera can produce sharp images.

I suspect I'll get a replacement D7000 as it's still in production...that is of course of they don't try to fix it again which I'll have to insist against.
 
Stand your ground, Phil. That's shocking that they can't fix it.
 
Brilliant result. I bet you wish you'd asked ages ago! Let's hope this one functions properly.

The AF is only in the center of the frame - that is a definate deal breaker for me and I can't understand what thats about.

That's just a function of full frame and the D7000 af system being used in it. Full frame covers more area so all ff cameras have more bunching, but using an already bunched af system is daft.

Thought that'd be the reason why.

Daft indeed! I don't understand that, it turns a perfectly good af system (in terms of functioning) into pretty much a center point only system...?!
