Seeing as Im home for a couple of days, going to visit Betws Y Coed tomorrow.

Anyone been before and with any tips/POI?

Cant go extreme walking as Im my mum is coming so looking at some easy walks. Looking forward to it as Ive always been there as a kid. Love the place

Beddgelert?

Nice tea rooms and places to buy, umm, very lovely souvenirs, easy walk to Gelert's Grave, slightly more demanding but stupendously beautiful walk along the Aberglaslyn Pass. Caernarfon Castle is worth a visit if it's raining. (I know this hardly ever happens in Wales, in January, but just in case...)

Im going to go Swallow Falls for sure. However I realised Ive come home without my Tripod. Which Im really annoyed about. Might have to go buy another one

Be sure to bring your umbrella, it's grim in Gwynedd at the moment.

Don't bother unless you want to be drowned and blown away as weather forecast for tomorrow is vile. Gale force winds and torrential rain for most of the day. Pretty horrid for the whole of the north west actually.

Hope you do get there, it's been a few years since I was there, really like it, brings some good childhood memories back.

And as you will probably see by now, there's some pretty severe weather. However, all is not lost. Put your mother out there, braving the elements, and see if you can get some snaps full of character, determination, grit...... :D

If I dont manage today, I will be back in Feb.

Looking at the weather, its supposed to brighten later, just a bit windy.

As I work in an Outdoors Leisure shop, Im fully prepared for the elements, but weather I want to leave this warm room is another thing entirely lol

I went and it was worth it. The sun came out for a lil while (as well as rain and hale)

However, dilemma is that some pics have spray on the lens. Any easy way to correct this? (Photoshop novice)

I love the little church in Betwys over the tracks from the station.

There's a great little suspension bridge too. The Church yard goes back to the 1600's or earlier and has some great shots to be had.

I'll be back there in the summer for some more pickies of my own.

:D
