Might sound like a daft question but having just swapped from my Mk3 to a
7D im missing the ergonomics massively. I dont mind the camera without a grip using my 24-70 etc but with the 300mm 2.8 its awkward. Ive got the meike grip, is there anything a bit more slim, more in tune with the Mk3?

Ive seen some grips on ebay where the batterys go in the end rather than where your palm sits.

Any idea's?
 
anyone compared a genuine grip to a 3rd party one size wise???
 
Yup 3rd party are always near identical to the original or it gives people another excuse to overlook them. Some 3rd party ones do differ in quality from the notchy wheels to plastic 'stamped' grip vs a rubber one.
 
Yeah i hoped someone was going to say "oh have you tried these" but new it wasnt going to happen. Why can canon do a grip like Nikon, or at least one thats not so big and chucky!!
