Looks slightly battered, do you think it was an old queen? I saw a couple of flying ants a week or so ago. Only the odd individual, and not the swarms I have seen before on a flying-ant day. i wondered what they were doing out and about. Maybe I just missed the big event!

It has a fair old dent on one side yes - from a birds beak and escape, or just disfigured as it grew, who knows....
