Right everybody I need some advice. I know everybody is asking or has asked advice about lens and Im currently reading through them for further answers and Ideas.

I have 3 lenses. Canon 50mm 1.8 Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 and canon 70-300. Now although ive got most areas covered im not to happy. I think I want to keep these lens so I have specific areas covered. But I think I would like a lens that would cover most of this range. I guess you could call it a walk about lens. but I still want good quality. I cant afford top end stuff. But would like to see what you people reccomend.

Any help would be great.

Surely the Siggy 24/70 is your walkabout lens? Is the quality poor, if not then why isnt it your walkabout, if its poor IQ then I'd replace that with something beter but same length.
It all depends on what you want your walkabout to capture I suppose.

It is normally yes. But I want something that has a bit more length as I find that more often than not im shooting at 70mm and want more.

Sigma do a 18-125mm thats supposed to be quite good and is very reasonable. They also do a 18-250 which keeps being best in class when reviewed. Again not too expensive.

Canon 17-85mm is another good one and gives just that bit extra reach.

Yes I may look at the sigma 18-125mm, But I wonder if once I had it I would want longer.

Anybody use the canon 18-135mm?
