Big hello from Cleveleys

Hi. I have been recommended to this site and must say it looks fabulous. My name is Jo and I have been learning about photography for the last year or so. I have my very first SLR winging it's way towards me (delivery tomorrow). I have opted for an entry level SLR and have chosen the Nikon D3000. Looks like a nifty camera and didnt break my small budget. I look forward to learning to use it. I have many areas I need to improve upon so I welcome advice and feedback from everyone in order to get better shots. I look forward to getting to know you.
