Yes
I have been married to my wife for a happy 25 years but my Billingham has been with me for longer.

I think its time I treated her to a new zip and a couple of nipples - I am talking about the Billingham :D:D..............anyone know where I could get the work done?

HI Jobe

Billigham is certainly a good one, any others

I will be Pepper but one of the first thing I learnt as a trainee photographer was to check about first. Thta was back in the days of film and the chief photographer used to buy the developing trays from a garage. His favourite annacdote was that Peterson sold the trays for a fiver each or you for the same price you get five from the garage :):)

could be but we have grown up together and its in my will that she is to be buried with me (the billingham, not the wife). I might have a look at a local sewing shop or sail maker down at the docks. Tent repaires might also be on the list

Have a look at your local upholsterer, they work with leather and have heavy duty sewing machines. Also a good cobbler may be able to help for the same reason. Edit. Just remembered these, they have repaired cycling clothing for me after a crash, and to a very high standard. http://www.tundra-repairs.co.uk/

I wouldn't take mine to anywhere but the place where it came from in the good old West Midlands. If its that precious to you, you go for it.

I had a similar query with my old Barbour jacket, it was given to me as a birthday present in 1976.....sent it back to Barbour and asked about repairs.

It came back looking like new, and with no charge! A nice letter accompanied t to the tune that they were so pleased my jacket had given me such stirling service. I expect they used the story for some PR - you cannot create PR like that. It finds you.

Send it back home to its father Martin Billingham, who will give it a cuddle.

I had a Billingham in 1980. No idea what happened to it. Got a few different bags now, but they're not the same. I keep fondling those lovely Billinghams everytime I see them in a shop. Even loaded all my gear into one the other day, just so Santa would know which one to get :D

will definately give Billingham a go. Some good points there, thanks

I love my one, I've only had it a year, but it's lovely. I like how you can buy replacement fasteners and straps from their official website. Not sure if they do servicing but it's definitely worth asking.

Give them a call there service is first class and quick.

It's a 2min walk to Billinghams from where I live, I'm sure they would love to meet and greet a long lost friend. If you care to PM me with what needs doing I'll pop in and ask them and get back to you. I definately wouldn't send it anywhere else.
