I am just about to order one of these and hoped someone can help me, has anyone used one of these and been able to have a D700 with lens attached or can it only hold a body with no lens attached?
Thanks

I've a Hadley pro which I use for small, non-sport related shoots. I have a 5DmkII with 50mm, a 24-70/2.8 and a 100mm macro in it. I cannot get the camera in mounted to a larger lens (without really forcing it in). Billingham bags are lovely but just too small to be ideal.

The Hadley large is just a bit longer (6cm I think) so I suspect you could get a small prime on the D700 but not much more.

I have one of these, which I originally purchased for use with a Mamiya 7 (lens off). I use it sometimes for a D90 with lens attached (35mm, 18-200mm), and place the camera 'along' the width of the bag. As the D700 is a taller camera, there might be a slight bump. Similarly, the depth of the bag is such that I'd imagine there would be a slight bump with the D700, and, say, a prime fitted. That said, it has a padded insert.

Hope I'm not out of line here, but I was thinking to sell the Hadley to get a bigger bag. The one I have is sand colour. If interested, let me know and I can send you a few pix, and post if for sale.

Thanks for that, i think i might have to look for a 335 but the price is putting me off.
