Binocular shops near Maidenhead

Hi all,

I'm off on safari next month, and am looking for binocular shops around Maidenhead. I'm very keen to try the Canon 10x30 IS, specifically in comparison with other binoculars within a £300 budget.

Does anyone have any recommendations for places to visit? Local to Maidenhead (i.e. 30 minutes' drive) would be ideal, but London is also a possibility.

T4 in Newbury might be worth a look. I know the Swindon branch has bino's so I'd expect there to be some at Newbury too.

I'm not sure if there are still any decent gun shops near you as that's another possible source.

You could try LCE or station cameras in Reading.
There is also a small shop in Wokingham but i cant remember the name of it, but they might have something!!

If you want to go to Guildford the London Camera Exchange there has a droolworthy selection of Swarovski binos and often a good bunch of Leicas in as well, including second hand. You can check their stock online.
