i took this at Gulliver's in warrington yesterday, no idea what it was but it was used to people because i was only 6 feet away and it wasn't bothered:shrug:

It's never a Water Rail, nothing like one. Legs are the wrong colour, beak and head are the wrong shape and it has the destinctive greyish chest, creamy coloured lateral line and under rump of a juvinile Moorhen. It's a Moorhen(y)(y)
 
Beaks too short for a start on a 'rail

And this is a Moorhen.

If you read back you would see that water rail had been suggested hence the (')rail

And yes I know that moorhens and coots are the rail family
