Bird togging advise

Was thinking of new ways i can keep myself busy instead of using the car all the time and that.

I was just sitting here and though "Ahh would it be a good idea if i could use the back enterence of our garage which looks out on to the garage, get a bird feeder on a pole to put in the middle of the garden.

I've seen people with like camo around the door when they are doing it and was wondering where i would get that sort of stuff from?

If i shut the dogs in the passage in the house would birds actully come down and feed from the feeder?? I don't want to buy anything and no one comes and eats it

I'm saving up a bit for a big lens now, what one do you think i would need to do close up's in the garden?

As far as a lens goes, itwould help to know what system you are using, but the new 120-400 and 150-500 from sigma are getting good press at the moment.

Someone said to me that the closer you zoom in the bigger the file size gets is this true?
