A beautiful day for walking around the heath and taking pictures of birds. It's been a while since I've gone bird shooting as the maximum length of lens for a year was 105mm - not ideal... Anyway, I took these with a Canon 70-300mm IS and they turned out OK. Not exactly jaw-dropping, but enough reach and clarity to make it worth while until I can afford better glass.

C&C welcome, please.

1 - ID please. Little bugger was very small and very quick!

2 - Blue Jay. I once almost got a good shot of one of these over a year ago, so I'm rather proud of these ones

I like the first one and the jay photos! They are much better than the rest imho

They are excellent pics, they are all good but i like the blackbirds and the duck taking off.

Thats with a Canon 70-300 IS if i`m not mistaken, i have an eye for this sort of thing (y)

Yep Long tailed tit, but I think by the shape of the beak the other is a Carion Crow and not a Raven.

Nice captures

Phil
