Birthday is not far away and you know what that means, a birthday gift. Planning to get a Canon lens but can't decide hence thought of posting this thread.

Few Choices buzzing my head:
1. EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
2. EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
3. EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM
4. EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM
5. EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM
6. EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM
7. EF 300mm f/4L IS USM

Any other lens ideas other than the ones listed above are very much appreciated. Also don't know approx prices so that would help go my wallet a long way or maybe bust:p
 
Did I not mention I am stinkin rich Joe!!:D :D :D :D [Just kiddin] I know they all are quiet dear m8 but wanted to build my kit one brick @ a time or shall I say one penny.............
 
well the 70-200 f2.8 IS is a real looker... It is what I"d go for but it depends on what you do?

As you know mate - I have the 24-105 f/4 IS, the 70-200 f/2,8 IS and the 300mm f/4 IS and have had the 70-200 f/4.

The best in terms of walk-around lens is the 24-105 which you can pick up for £650 or thereabouts. The best is the 70-200 f/2.8 IS!

I dont use the 300mm nearly enough - something to put right this summer.

I'd recommend as your first buy the 24-105 then get the 70-200 for xmas ;)

I think I will go the 24-105 way to start with but just out of curiosity, how much is 70-200 f/2,8 IS retailing for?

Good one. The 24-105L is a great lens I love it. Mind you, I felt it came into its own more with the 5D than it did with the 30D, but perhaps that was just me :D
