My little one on her 4th Birthday. Not great "Portraits" but it's not easy getting her to play ball. It didn't help my flash wasn't firing and I didn't notice for a while

I like #3 the best - the thing to go for in a child's photo is the expressions since children are usually totally uninhibited.

Thanks for the comments, I really need to get my proper lighting sorted and get some real portraits, but I had to take a few on her birthday in a less formal setting.

Very nice, if you think she is a pain to photograph now, it will get worse. I think outside in the playground in the sun is where you get the best photos of children, you just need to be careful that no one complains. Fortunately I have an almost deserted playground near us.
