Bit confused about tokina?

Sorry, crap.

Tokina lenses are good. this however is a wide angle adaptor. Best avoided IMO.

Hi, ok, is that wide angles adaptors in general should be a avoided or just tokina ones? As adaptors are all i can attatch to my fuji.
I've had pretty good results with Nikon adapters on several Nikon Coolpixies.

For your camera Fuji make one - the WL-FX9B a 0.79 conversion will make your 28mm an equivalent to a 22mm. Raynox seem to have quite a good name - dunno how well they work on the Fuji - but you an see what they make for your camera. The DCR-6600PRO that is a 0.66 converter making your lens @18mm equivalence.

Both Fuji and Raynox adapters look to cost @£100 new.

That depends if you can change the lens on your camera. If you have something like the op's Fuji then it's an adapter or nowt.

Tokina are owned by Hoya, so optically I'd imagine they'll be pretty good, especially compared with the usual HK ones.

Ok, and how to FX9B's compare with other "good quality" adaptors? Or better off, ive found one available new for about £60?
It'll be fine - I guess you'll need an adapter tube too (sometime they come with the lens - but check!)
Would it be worth it? or saving for a raynox one?
I can't possibly answer that. Personally I love playing with these sort of things and would get the Fuji to start with and if I found I wanted 'wider' I'd consider get the Raynox as well. :D

D'oh! Missed that, my bad.

I take it back, and I expect tokina would easily be as good as the competition.

The problem is the 'adapter' the OP has linked to is a fish-eye for a Nikon SLR and while Tolkina do make great stuff this seems somewhat unique to eBay and 'marginal' internet retailers and may well be a 'fake'.
