Bit of help with my orange

Right, will try keep this simple!

I was trying to get the refraction of the orange in the drop, I planned on doing a few stacks etc, but for some reason I couldnt get the orange in focus!

The pic posted is the best I managed to get in focus, is this due to the drop needing to be bigger?

You need to play around with the distance from lens to drop and drop to orange. What you'll usually find is you'll need 3 shots: orange in focus, drop in focus (outer edges etc) and then blade of grass / twig etc in focus.

So maybe an adjustment on the distance of camera and object?

Exactly! I tend to get the drop / image all lined up by eye first then setup my camera.

What I do is get the drop in focus first, then place the object in a position that when photographed it is seen inside the drop in focus.

I just focus on the drop and shoot! then i see what i caught in the refraction later
