bit of help

[Paul W]

Hi Guys

I currently have a Sony A380 and after a recent route66 trip across america I am thinking of upgrading

I was looking at the sony a550

What are peoples opinions

I can get this with a twin lens kit for £600 which seems good

Also looking to sell my A380 with the 18-55 lens, extra battery and standard kit that comes with it

Any suggestions on a good price and where to advertise

Thanks

Appreciate this is my first post but this site was recommended to me by a friend

Welcome to TP

If you like Sony then the 550 is obviously a leg up. Plenty of other choices at that price level.

This place is very good for selling (and buying) stuff but you need a minimum number of posts.

Thanks for your reponse

It would seem there is a fair bit of choice at that level so keeping my options open

Can't help you with a price, but www.dyxum.com is a good place to sell alpha-mount stuff - I've bought and sold plenty there. There is a minimum post count to post in their for sale forum though, but it is lower than here IIRC.

It's also a good forum for people using the Sony alpha range of cameras and the lenses that fit them.

Regarding your next camera, have a look at this page:

for prices. It doesn't cover every supplier but gives a good idea of what to aim for if you search other places.
