Bit of product photography I guess

I took some photos of items I am selling on ebay so thought I might aswell post them on here too and see what people say

im by no means a pro but if you used a white background they would look 100 times better

Plain backgrounds look the best.
I know it's just fluffy kittens, but these are simply snaps :shrug:

Images like this are perfectly acceptable for use on Ebay, you can see the product sufficiently but it's not exactly what I'd call product photography. To look a bit more professional you need to get a neutral background and nice lighting. If you were selling brand new stuff on Ebay then I'd recommend you improve your technique to increase your sales but if you are just getting rid of used stuff then stick to what you are doing.

I had a crack at this to sell some lenses on here.Link to thread!! I just got an old while table cloth and used that. I didn't even bother to iron it but I guess if I was after a more professional look then I would have. I did crop in fairly close though to remove as much distracting background as possible. 3 of the lenses are still for sale by the way (Shameless plug alert!!)

To get a white background, buy a roll of wrapping paper, use the white (under) side. You might also want to use a lamp with a daylight bulb.
