Hi Everyone, would like to try this close up stuff as I like it. took these today with d5000 a torch and the 18-55 standard lens.

The pear is a terrific shot! The contrast range is amazing but without losing detail or making it look artificial.
Selective colouring works extremely well in this subject.

The others don't do much for me
 
The pear shot is the stand out image. It really works with the grain of the wood against the skin of the pear.
