You did well then Keith by the sounds of it conditions wise.
I cant say I've seen one of these to my knowledge and not much of any specie on my local pond at the weekend just two Common Darters no hawkers and only a couple of blue damsels

Thanks John,
This was near Church Stretton and it's a more upland species - my 1st time for one of these.I spotted the Male first ,a bluey/black one with a pinched waist so I thought Clubtail but then spotted this Female.Also had my 1st Emerald Damsel at the same time.(pics of these are too bad to show).
Bit of a long "around the houses" place to visit but I hope to get there again sometime.
The Dragons are getting thinner on the ground around my patch now as well.
