Black lab, Gus

Did a couple of dog portraits today. This is Gus...

Gus is beautiful.... although the sharpening seems to have brought out the little white dots on his coat... clone those off and its a winner!

PS Gypsy is nice too, but Gus looks the way I like Labradors to look

Lovely handling of a black subject though - I just really want to throw him a ball

Ooh - posted before I saw Gypsy - prefer Gus - thought the white bits were 'dandruff' as I've an older black dog and she looks like that close up

Janice, yeah needs some work on the specks, some are dust/fluff/whatever and some are grey in the hair. I'll have to spend some time with it when I prep it for printing.

Dave, the reflection is just sky and fields, their pupils are pretty small, might tweak them a bit.

A ball is exactly what Gus had his eye on although every time I moved and crouched he'd come bounding over for a bit of attention. Gypsy's a couple of years older than Gus and had a few extra pies. Both great dogs tho

Lovely captures..the expression on the face is fantastic..

Nice shots but they look to have a slight purple tinge to me. Can't go wrong though with dog pictures
