Black or white ?

If anyone has a few minutes to spare can I have your opinion on something please. I am rebuilding my website after changing hosts and wonder about putting galleries on black or white backgrounds, to this end I have put up one of each at www.Kerioak.com -

Flowers, Objects, Landscapes -
Playing with Liquid black and Playing with Liquid white.

Would appreciate which you prefer and why (plus if you come across any problems/errors whilst navigating please let me know)

I prefer the black background, it fits in with the rest of the site more.

I'm not too keen on the border of each picture in the thumbnails though, for either background. Not quite sure why though.

I think I prefer the black, but it's difficult to tell with the images you've chosen as they're so pale anyway.

Other general comments. Canvases does not have an apostrophe! It's a plural. The blurb is also very wordy with very long sentences. Personally, I'd cut that down. Also it took me an age to find the "Flowers, objects, landscapes" drop-downs. I used the top navigation bar which just took me to a page with a comment box (the same one which seems to be on every page). The navigation through your portfolio isn't at all obvious, I don't think.

Thanks for your comments. The theme has recently been updated and he has changed the navigation method, last time I managed to remove the navigation links from the pictures but not so easy with new version

I would really like to delete all those comment boxes but have not yet found a way to do it - they dominate the pages
