Black Rapid R-Strap

Hi
Can someone tell me if the strap is only useable with a standard size lens or could you use a tele like a D700 with 70-200 attached ?

I use it with a gripped A700 and 70-200 f2.8 and it's fine. I know someone whi uses the D700 gripped with the Nikon 70-200 as well. In fact, for me, it works better with bigger lenses as the tripod collar makes it better balanced.

Mine hold a 1D Mk III with a 100-400 quite happily.

i have the alot cheaper version and use it with a d300 gripped with my 50-500mm os, no probs.

I use mine no problem with a 7D + 300/2.8 + 2x tc (8 lb +). I know of people who even use one with a 500/4.
EDIT: with heavier lenses the latest F-3 fastener is recommended
If you use Arca style lens plates then you connect the R-strap via a Arca clamp which saves keep taking the plate off
