First "proper" shot from my week in Bulgaria following on from the sparrow porn...

EOS-1D MkIV, EF500 f/4L IS, 1.4 converter, tripod, Acratech Long Lens head, hide

The stork was on a rocky outcrop overlooking a valley and was taken first thing in the morning, waiting for vultures to arrive.

Thanks for looking

Paul

Nice one Paul - very striking bird.

Thanks guys. I got some feedback that the original was a bit light - I was trying to show the wonderful iridescence in the neck plumage. So, I've had another tweak and a bit of a play with curves - hopefully this is better...

Another lovely shot, the second one does look better to me as the glare is not so harsh where the light is catching the rocks, and it also shows the colours on the bird much better.
